Yeah I kind of feel a little bad about my own comments too. But looking back on it this whole thing was fueled by the fact that his "girlfriend" was being extremely deceitful. It smelled like something was wrong from the start, what were we supposed to think? Plus, some sort of fraud with the WSOP probably happened. Ah well. It's over now. We have closure.

If Kwazar is really in the hospital I wish him well. But still this does not explain how he was in the hospital and he magically played in the WSOP at the same time. Also that his "gf" is so shady and is always asking for money. This all does not add up. He either had someone play for him in the WSOP or he got in the "accident" after he busted and his "gf" told us all the wrong dates. We need to know the truth.

Based on the new information, here's my theory:
1) Kwazar played in the tourney, busted out on day 2. 2) He got into an accident shortly thereafter 3) Some acquaintance of his started up the Kwaz fund, but this person doesn't know Kwazar as well as we've been assuming. Whether or not she started the fund in order to give the money to Kwazar or to keep it for herself remains to be seen. She didn't know the exact date that the accident occurred, didn't realize he was in the WSOP, and reported the date wrong by a couple of days. This is why she was evasive when people asked her how he could have played in the WSOP while he was in the hospital. The fact that she's not a close friend would also explain why she originally didn't know which hospital he was in -- she's relying on other people to relay the information to her. She's been getting secondhand information fed to her from someone who knows Kwazar, and has been updating the blog in order to keep the donations rolling in. She's either a do-gooder who has made Kwazar's accident her "cause" and will give him every penny that comes in, or she's an acquaintance who will give Kwazar some of the money but keep the rest (because it's her word as to how much $$$ comes in), or she's a complete sham and will keep every last penny and then it'll come out that Kwazar has no idea who she was.

Everyone just suddenly seemed to accept that he was in the hospital, though nobody seems to have called to find out for sure. It would be quite the bluff on the "gf's" part if she made up the hospital information in the hopes that nobody would check up on the story, though.

[/ QUOTE ] You must have missed the post where Jeff A. in this thread explained that he called the hospital and the desk implicitly confirmed Kwazar's presence.
