my personal pick for bottom 3 is chris, ace and bucky. I thought kelly's performance was actually quite good, as was taylor's and katharine's. Paris would be nearest the bottom 3 I think, and elliot was fine and definitely good enough.

Chris may be bottom 3, just to create more drama.

You'd think these people have other people advising them on "basic strategy", but it seems not. Ace has always been bad, but not this bad, I think he's gone this week.

What was this make up and song choice for Chris?. It seems like the bookie was his advisor...

Bucky-- good song choice, clearly about the most out of his element with Queen, but did a credible job, (way better than Mandisa butchering Shania on Country night)

Ace-- Did not like his changes to the song, he doesn't have the power to pull off "we will rock you"

Pickler-- benefited from the pre-song clips where she was dancing and looked HOT, but it really paled in comparison to the original.

Chris-- I did not know the song, but his performances make you sit up and listen. He has a different voice then Freddy but a very commanding one. He is still the most riveting performer.

Katherine-- I still love her looks, and sometimes her voice, but I thought this was an epic miss. The second time when they played the mini-clip at the conclusion of the show I was wincing at how badly her voice sounded when she tried to turn the amp to "11". I'd like to see her go far, but she deserves bottom 3 for that clunker.

Taylor-- Wisely chose a song his voice could do and appealed to those who are fans of his campiness. I get a kick out him, and he clearly has talent, but I think that performance marginalized him back to the week 1 curiousity/jackass that he was when the show started.

Paris-- She has chops, but everything she does rubs me the wrong way a little. There is something totally manufacutered about it all from the leather pants and boots and rock-star stomping to the "Thank kews". I admire her talent but I find her gross.

Elliot-- Not quite the same range as Freddy, but I thought it was the best performance of a really hard song. No question he has truly great talent and passion, but can he get past the awkwardness and win over enough fans, I don't know.

Bottom 3 Ace, Katherine, Paris.

As somebody with no money on American Idol, my favorite part of the show this year is easily answering the weekly question: What will Elliott say next to alienate America?

Hey everybody, did you know that in addition to his lack of charisma, Elliott has an annoying DJ voice? I have an idea, let's hear him ANNOUNCE HIS OWN SONG in his annoying DJ voice! That'll win America over! Good thinking Ryan!

I can picture buying a album from Chris (and his band), I can picture buying an album from Taylor, and I can even maybe picture buying an album from Katherine. I just can't imagine people buying Elliot albums and going to attend Elliot concerts. And that, in the end, is what American Idol is about, which is why I can't see Elliott winning the whole shebang.

I hope he is bottom 3. Maybe he'll pick better songs from now on. Simon was right when he said it could have been his shining moment or whatever.

I think Chris is the best. I was really looking forward to him singing... but not that s**t.

Um, I liked Elliott's dj bit too. I think Elliott has a great voice but is shaky as a performer. But what exactly has he done to alienate America? I'd say his likeable personality is one of the reasons people root for him in spite of his obvious nerves onstage. He seems like a cool, regular guy to me, unlike poseurs like Chris and Ace. YMMV.

katherine isn't hot. she has an awkward figure. however...very glamerous in the face/hair.

i laughed when i heard ace was doing that song. thats a man song that needs to be sung by a voice with some authority. not to be sung by some boyband bitch. but i doubt he'll go home. every teenage girl in america is voting for him.

did anyone else piss themselves laughing when that dude missed the kick on the microphone stand?

I actually agree with this, and I too am rooting for him. And I'm sure he gets votes precisely because he of this effect. At least he gets mine. But come on, the dude always does say the wrong thing, things that, if he had a staff, would have them cringing.

I'm not saying the staff would be correct to cringe, because what he is doing may be fine on the 27th level. I'm just saying that Elliott is not on the 27th level, not even the 2nd, he makes comments that really aren't well thought out. The Barry Manilow comment comes to mind. It's a contrast to Kellie, who knows she is naive and intentionally exposes it.

The DJ bit, complete with the weird DJ name, could not have won over most people. Promoting your own performance before you do it could not have won over a lot of people. Luckily for him, he needs to win a plurality, not a majority, until the last round.
