I like this against players who try to run you over. It'll teach them not to semibluff you to often on the expensive streets.

With this reasoning, would it still be better to call him down and hope he bluffs off another BB? What river(s) do I fold? Ace?

[/ QUOTE ]
Whether you call or 3-bet the turn (especially if you 3-bet), there is no river card I would fold to against this opponent.

I wouldn't care if 5 spades, 3 diamonds, and an A/K/J card all hit the river at the same time...she still gets called.

Our House,

Calling down with ANYTHING, regardless of what comes on the river, seems to playing right into her hands. Hery strategy is exploitable with discretion, not by becoming a calling station. If you're going to pay off her hits every time with cheese, you're turning her semibluff mistake into good play.

This is why just calling is better, you don't want to bloat the pot and force yourself to call even when a bad card comes.

No, if you fold a pair to her EVER, you're turning her semibluff into a good play. BTW, villain showed A2 off in that hand. Here's another hand from today with same villain.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, SB calls.

River: (6 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12 BB

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
SB has 4h Qc (one pair, nines).
Hero has Js 9d (three of a kind, nines).
Outcome: Hero wins 12 BB. </font>

Apparently playing back and/or flopping good against this villain absolutely enrages him. Therefore raising is +EV :P

Villain loves to make plays and turn/river aggression is through the roof.

I thought this meant that villain liked to raise turns with trash (not just draws). If so, I don't see the advantage of 3-betting the turn over calling down.

I'd raise the flop. You are very likely to have the best hand and on this draw-heavy board, your raise will probably get no respect and even often get three-bet by worse hands.
