so funny that we were just talking about this today:
hero has J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in small blind with 2100, bb is 200. UTG+1, a relatively tight player, open raises to 650 after a limp. I push, he calls, he flips up KK. I literally said out loud "I really [censored] hate this play" and did it anyway. Poker sucks. Out 166th |

heh, i managed to lay them down vs QQ (would've hit a set on turn!), but failed to fold A2s with backdoor flush and pair of 2s vs T4o. Figured asshat was making a move. Again. GG!
Out 148th. |

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather not embarass myself by saying...it was really really bad. But I did have a pair! edit: Were you watching my table? What kind of range would you have called with? I really felt like it was a big hand or nothing... [/ QUOTE ] Yes. I watched your table through the first break. I figured you probably had like 88-10s when you called the river. I think with an overpair you bet the turn(esp if you have a diamond)..Its hard to put someone on a flopped flush. I think I would have called with any pair 88+. He could easily have the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and be bluffing, assuming you didn't have it. |
