Daniel is pretty amazing. I'm beginning to dislike Gabe "post production expert" Kaplin more and more ("I'm sure Daniels made a lot of good reads in his life, but this is not a particularly impressive one"). Probably not an amazing deduction for Daniel this time, but don't take away from the guys 'mad skillzzz'!
I like Antonio a lot too, he's living the life most young players are dreaming of - and while he may be in over his head here, he is showing a great deal of class: Daniel to Antonio (re: Phils ranting) "The difference with what he's had happen to what you had happen: he's outside breaking things and you took two sick beats and you're laughing" |

Hey, Antonio had to take a powder after his bad beat too.

[ QUOTE ]
Daniel N. is amazing. "you you have JJ right?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If only he knew when to shut it. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah i think his table talk was perfect up until the point when he said "I'll show you one after you fold". I think he was folding if he had just stopped talking. Watching phil first annouce his ace then call 25k with it, then another 40k on the river was fun to watch. |

That was hilarious.
- jerry ripping on phil, and making lose calls/bluffs in phil's pots. (you know you're the fish at the table when Jerry Buss is mixing it up with you) - Barry ripping on phil (bluff-call) - Jen ripping on phil (I'd play NL if you were there) - Johnny ripping on phil (imagine how long the list would be for that game) - Danny ripping on phil (to antonio) - Phil ranting, to antonio: "...and he bluffs me with 7 high....which was good, by the way..." I've gained a lot of respect for antonio the last two weeks. |

Daniel to Antonio (re: Phils ranting) "The difference with what he's had happen to what you had happen: he's outside breaking things and you took two sick beats and you're laughing" [/ QUOTE ] The difference is that Phil's beats were down to crappy play on his part. That tends to upset me more than a bad beat as well. At least with a bad beat, you have the satisfaction of knowing you played well. |

how in the world can Phil be this bad at NL poker? Did you see when Barry was whispering to him about "you have to adjust your game" and Phil blows him off?
I'm not a Phil basher, but WOW...am I a fool to want to play him?? |

The funny part is that if at this point he defaulted to his normal tournament game, instead of trying to outplay everyone, he'd probably get paid off a fair amount.

I get the sense that this is Hellmuth's normal tournament game.
These underbets by Hellmuth - I love it. Who doesn't love a donkey who is always underbetting at their table trying to be table captain? You can raise on a bluff or raise with the best hand - often the donkey feels like he's being bluffed (because he bet so little) so he doesn't know what to do. This is exactly what happened when Barry had quads against Phil and exactly what happened when Barry had a set against Phil - in tonight's episode, Phil talked a bunch of nonsense like he was bluffing before he bet that flop, but was actually value-betting, then bluff-called all in. From watching this show and some of his online play, it's obvious the guy is a huge fish in anything that isn't a tournament. |
