[ QUOTE ] Alobar Looking 4 the perfect drug Reged: 11/05/03 Posts: 11062 Loc: preparing for the moving up in... The difference between me and you is that I couldnt give a rats ass about post count. [/ QUOTE ] Could have fooled me. [/ QUOTE ] crap, you got me. I didnt make all those posts because I wanted to work on my poker game or because I enjoy talking to other people in the 2+2 community. I made them all because I wanted a big post count. Each morning when I woke up, I set a post goal for the day, and then at night I would look at the total number I had and giggle with excitement. I secretly hope 2+2 opens some kind of store where you can cash in your post count for goods. I could get a 2+2 t-shirt and a stress ball. |

Has anybody been getting hand histories emailed to them? I've requested them a couple of times, well over an hour ago. Nothing yet. I want to save them for the day when PT picks them up.

[ QUOTE ]
All right, just did some research as I was pretty sure this was the company that had the court dealy with the us. It was. One of the founders of World Exchange was a guy from New Jersey. He and his buddies took off to antigua to pursue building the company and to avoid legal issues with the u.s. In the late nintes however, Cohen(one of the founders) came to visit his family in Long Island and he was arrested, prosecuted, and sent to prison in Vegas. Later he had his law buddy from college figure out if he could sue the government for violating WTO rules. They decided they had a good shot. So the buddy went to Antigua and convinced the country to let him represent them in the case against the U.S. They agreed and a suit was filed against the U.S. Antigua won. Cohen was set free last year and companies in Antigua continue to operate selling gambling sevices to americans. The law the U.S. violated was that they barred foreign companies from offering services to americans, that american companies are allowed to offer. Because several american companies offer Horse betting(a gambling service) foreign countries must also be allowed to offer gambling services to americans. Today was the dead line for the U.S. to implement new laws that allowed this. However nothing has happened yet. If the U.S. were to make the law, I'm sure World Exchange would be making headlines and get a lot of traffic to the site. Maybe why the new poker scheme was launched around this date. [/ QUOTE ] He went home to go to his mothers funeral. There was a story on 60 minutes about this guy years ago. |

" Note: In order to earn an FPP at the above levels, players must be dealt into the hand and must have contributed to the pot. No points are awarded for pre-flop folds." |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Can anyone confirm this? There has to be a catch somewhere. [/ QUOTE ] Why? They are hoping there will be some crossover from poker players to the sportsbook etc. The same way Party wants to convert us all to online casino players. [/ QUOTE ] Then why are they taking the rake out in the first place? Why not just not rake the pots? [/ QUOTE ] because fish are stupid and get waaay more excited about getting $200 transfered into their account every week than not noticing they saved $200. "OMG THE MORE I PLAY THE MORE MONEY I GET BACK!!!". Kinda the same way retards get excited when a site raises the rake because now they will be getting more rakeback. I actually think this is much better than just not having a rake. [/ QUOTE ] I'll be the first one to admit that I think its kinda cool they do it that way. Its one thing to know I'm saving a few hundred a month but when they deposit it in large chunks, its gonna help me visualize a little better. Now, if they can get more than 9 players spread among 50nl-200NL, we can get excited. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Also assuming a guy put in 5000 hands a month at .5/1, how much rake would one get back? I would imagine an average rake of 20 cents per hand, so 5000 X 0.20 = $1000/10 players = 100 bucks back. I think for a low limit bonus whore there are better opportunities out there. [/ QUOTE ] I think its more like 5 - 800 bucks. [/ QUOTE ] Care to show your calculations? There is no way it would be that high at .5/1 [/ QUOTE ] You are right, I was looking at the wrong stakes in my PT. |

I would guess it averages about 50% lower at the low limits. Don't know about 2/4 and above. |
