no its not ok. 3bet is like mandatory here preflop. Your hand is so under-repped on the turn I might call him again... After your flop call its a pretty easy 2barrell by a thinking opponent because the range he will most likely put you on is weighted heavily to hearts, pairs 44-88 and weak Kings.

Its possible he had it this time and you saved money playing it this way (this time) but in the long run taking a line this weak-tight will surely cost you money

fair enough...so we play JJ hard here...if I 3bet and am called what is my plan for a K or A high flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

If he calls the 3 bet preflop it changes the whole hand. Now he has to put you on JJ-AA and AKs.
edit- ok the range is bigger than that, its probly more like 99-AA AJs-AKs AQo and maybe 910s of 10Js every once in a while
If he bets the flop when a king hits you can call and see what happens on the turn depending on how much. He's not going to be happy about betting again with less than AK

so three bet to 15 and fold to a shove pre...play a flop with overs strong on flop and slow down later?

I'd probly fold to a shove pre with JJ. I said just call the flop because its a ragged board and the call could easily mean AK or a slow AA. I think it slows down villian and probably gives a free river card if villian doesn't have a big king

After you 3bet pre, he wont be leading into you too often. On a flop that brings only 1 overcard to your pair I would usually Cbet around 3/4pot and see what develops from there
