Default Aces on a dangerous board vs a passive player

I posted this in the cheese as well (results of the hand are there too, but I'm leaving them out here).

Villain is 30/7/1.3, notes on him are 'limps with KK from CO and doesn't raise top set on river'. So he's very passive, calls a lot, rarely raises.

I probably play it the same, though ur often beat when he pushes turn. You can't fold turn getting those nice odds.

nh
i stack off here, too. this guy could have sooo many hands that i really can't find a fold. maybe MAYBE you can c/f turn against this guy, but i think that's a poor line against most players. KXc should def be in his range.

The turn bet commit you. I prefer to control the size of the pot : I bet 28$ on the turn, and probably fold if he pushes (zero outs...).

Does he bet when checked to? How does he play IP- pot control or will he check a medium strength hand down?

If he's still passive (which I assume he is) I'd probably bet/fold 30ish on the turn...I think you're always dead when he pushes....but as played you really can't fold.

Thanks for the responses.

Casper: based on my notes and my memory, I don't expect him to bluff when checked to.

My bets were so large to make sure to get as much money in as possible before a 4th [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] came out, but yeah the big downside of that approach is that I'm committing myself.

In retrospect, I think betting $12 on the flop and bet/fold $25 on the turn would have been the perfect play. If he called the turn, I could still have shoved a safe river.

He had A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] by the way so I was indeed drawing dead.
