I recently purchased a set of 1000 Nexgen 8000 series in a birdcage carrier from Overstock.com (the link above). I needed a bigger set, and I couldn't quite stomach the price of going to real clay chips. Overall I've been very happy with the purchase, the chips stack and play well, are a nice step up from a dice type chip at a reasonable price, and in the games I play in locally no one else has Nexgens. The carrier does have a little bit of slop around the chip racks, so the may shift slightly during transport, and I'm not sure how much longterm abuse that carrier can take, but I'd guess less than an aluminum briefcase style case.

[/ QUOTE ] I've been thinking about getting that item. How many of each color chip did you get? I can't seem to figure out that info from the description. If it's like what's in the photo, it looks like the set up is more suitable for cash games than it is tournements. |
