I don't think that an apology is necessary. The "?" says it all and considering the circumstance, I think that a lot of caution is in order.
For example, in October Neteller said that it was going to stay in the US market. Yes we all applauded and said "What Balls" they have. BUT, they did a 180 last week due to changing circumstances. I made a request for a check a day after their announcement and it was approved at that time. I re-check the status of my request tonight and it was changed to "PENDING". I called up Neteller and Janet stated that my check will be pending for 4-6 weeks due to the tremendous volume of withdrawal requests. Boys, we/they are in "DEEP CACA". Anyways thanks to JayA for making me take a step back to re-evaluate this online poker hobby. |

[ QUOTE ]
its not in israel, but its an israeli family. [/ QUOTE ] Confusing the fact that the owners are Israelis, with the false idea that the company is based in Israel, is a pretty huge mistake. |

The owners either live in A) Canada B) Isle of Mann or C) Costa Rica. Depending on who your talking about.
As most of you know, I knew all the inside information when Stars stayed, and I haven't heard a single word from anyone I know saying that they will leave. |

Stars leaving would not be a big surprise at all- the new poker reality simply does not support the same number of sites catering to Americans as before. And Stars is the obvious candidate to leave because they have plenty of European/Asian players and don't have as defiant a corporate culture as some others. I can see them wanting to go public.
But if Stars pulls out, then suddenly there will be thousands of American poker players looking for a new place to spend there money. Many of them will just give up, but many others will accept having to send money orders by mail or whatever it is we'll have to do. Many of them will accept a higher rake- we'd have to pay higher rake in the casino anyway. So the bottom line is the remaining casinos will be able to up the rake to account for the increased costs. Online poker is going to get worse- we all know that- but I don't see it going away. |

Israel has some pretty tough laws against gambling, so even if the majority owners are Israeli there's no way Poker Stars is based in Israel.
