[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] What does taking a dump at the edge of a cliff have to do with graduating college? Is that what you did when you graduated? [/ QUOTE ] I'm gonna guess that you're still in college (or high school) based on that response. [/ QUOTE ] No, but thanks for humoring me. I "got it," and I thought the pic was pretty funny, so I followed through with a response other than the "Yeah, it's all downhill. Nice one" that originally came to mind. And I'm gonna guess that you're over 30 and divorced based on that response. |

It's just that your response was pretty lame and immature |

[ QUOTE ]
When you get a job, max out your 401k every year. Consider it a bill that you must pay and live on the rest. [/ QUOTE ] That's actually really good advice. Most companies put in like 50 cents on the dollar that you contribute up to some certain amount. That's 50% return, tax free. Even if you just do that for a couple years, cash out, and then reinvest elsewhere so you don't pay the taxes, it's pretty unbeatable. |

[ QUOTE ]
I turned 22 last week and am about to graduate from college with degrees in international business and marketing. I live in Southern California at home still. Any general advice for me as I get ready to step into the real world, hopefully making some decent money and getting my own place soon? [/ QUOTE ] Don't go to an internet gambling site looking for advice about life. |

[ QUOTE ] What would you do with your life if you had unlimited time, talent, and support from friends and family? Whatever the answer is, pursue that thing passionately for at least the next 5 years. [/ QUOTE ] I would like to be a professional golfer, but I won't. I think pursuing that for 5 years would be a huge mistake. [/ QUOTE ] Evan - an assistant pro at a good club has a pretty great life. |

I just graduated last spring. I have been doing pretty much nothing but playing poker and relaxing since. I am applying to grad school now and feel pretty good about it. If you have the money/can get a scholarship, grad school can be a great investment.
Oh, don't feel bad about yourself for slacking off for a little. I was depressed for a bit after college but quickly realized that I had been working hard my whole life and deserve to do what I want (being able to afford it). Good luck. |
