Ugly river. Against an unknown I play the same way as you. If I have lots of hands on the player (more than 1000) I will make a crying call in their won showdown when raised river is ~70% or less, as this would be a pretty good card for the villain to bluff at.

whats his turn aggression? vs this opponent i might pay off because its a perfect bluff card, and also if he had a flush its good to know that he semi-bluff raised the turn.

I would C/C the river if I was ready to fold to a raise. Although I think you're almost always behind when he raises, I typically give a player with stats like that like ZERO RESPECT. In this particular hand, I would feel inclined to fold to a raise, so I would check. It's a good card for him to bluff at, and his pair may have just improved to 2pair. I don't want to give him credit, and at the same time I don't want to showdown for an additional 2BB.

this is too results oriented. it looks like he had a made hand on the turn that we have beat. the vast majority of the time if you check he'll just check down a hand that you have beat.

I might agree if that wasn't one of the worst cards in the deck. Dude could have 2 spades, A8, A4, AJ, slowplayed set etc etc.. What are we potentially losing value from by C/C the river? A few random Jx hands (which he may take a stab with when checked to anyways)? Maybe I'm a complete wuss for wanting to fold to a raise on that river - but given that I do, I think a C/C is optimal.
