A good way to remember the rank of suits for the bring-in is alphabetical order -- where the top of the alphabet is lowest.

Also, it's not just the player with the paired door card who can double-bet. The pair obviously acts first, but if he chooses to check or single bet, any player subsequently can choose to make a single or double raise -- but once someone double-bets or double-raises, all further raises on that round are at the upper limit.

e.g. A $5-$10 7-stud high game -- four players see fouth street. Bob pairs his 9 on fourth street, but despite that chooses to check. Charlie bets $5, Devin folds, and Eric raises $10 to $15. Bob can now choose to fold, call the $15, or raise to $25 (but NOT $20).
