great thread! i just started wandering into HUSH because i want to learn HU/SH play, so this works out great

actually, the real reason i want to learn is because i play in home games and home tournaments. im fine until it gets to ~4 handed and lower. my question is, even though the games mentioned are NL, they usually don't play like it. i'm wondering if the links/info given in these links is still applicable?

I would also recommend reading the 1-table tournament forums. They have lots of stuff on short-handed NL tourney situations.

I don't know how I could go back now to the slow grind of full ring.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have heard of people having great success table hopping short games at the full ring games since most of the players there have no good idea on how to adjust to shorthanded situations. (Of course, I think most here would agree that most of the people playing at the six max tables are in the same boat )

At any rate, I would never do that since I make an entry in my book and spreadsheet for every table I sit down at and I would hate making 10 times the entries I make now.

Anyone ever try this tact?

I do, extremely good!

damn good post. i'm quite new to the game and also just started playing lots of 6 max cuz i live in austria and it's hard to get enough action otherwise. i'm still getting slammed, but not quite as bad as i was a few weeks ago (yeah- i know variance lasts longer than that, but the point is i'm already playing 6 max much differently than i was) , but i've read this whole thread and every other one i can on 6 max and i'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. thanks for the info and the hope!
