Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone was experimenting the same problem as I do... I usually play 5$-10$ No limit hold'em on the internet and when it comes to a live poker with friends and a 10$ buy-in, it seems like I start playing very bad... this is due to many factors... 1st, I can't put my friends on a hand as they don't really have "standard" starting hand requirements .. (ex: they will feel K 9 is worth calling a preflop bet). 2nd, I can't bluff them as they will probably call... 3rd, we play like 30 hands / hour and I'm used to playing at least 100 hands / hour on the net so I feel like I must make a move even if I don't get the cards... In other words, I can't put myself in my opponent's mind because he doesn't know himself what he is doing :S Finally, I don't really give **** about the 10$ so I am not very motivated to play well... Anyways, I know a good poker players against both category of players, but it seems like there is something I don't get. By the way, my average for the last 2 months on high stakes is 100$+/hour. I'm pissed off... been loosing like 3 games against total newbies who believe poker is a game of luck and are happy to go all in preflop with K 10 PS: sorry for my mediocre english |
