You might as well recommend Bandon Dunes while you're at it.

stinkeypete, a second vote for Pelican Hill, although a google search curiously turned up no acceptable homepage. Played it a lot on Links LS, have friends who have played it IRL, they say it is an awesome (albeit pretty expensive) course. FYI, there are brief shots of this course during the O.C. intro...not that this fact should sway you one way or the other...

EDIT: LOL, didn't realize a couple of others had pointed out the geography fubar.
