Default Re: A8s: i feel like a calling station fish

PREFLOP:
The preflop call seems ok to me. While you are out of position, you have a 'huge fish' with a huge stack that you should be able to take should you be fortunate enough to nail the flop.

FLOP:
As I said above, should you nail the flop, your $7 investment is well worth the call. However, you did not hit the flop. You have a gutshot and a draw at a draw. That is, you are drawing hoping that you have a draw. Fold the flop.

TURN: At this point, you are priced in with 12-15 outs. So, whats that...like 2.5-1 dog or so? If you have no fold equity, as you seem to feel, then just calling $80 to win $192 is already pretty close to good, as long as you feel you can pick up the difference ina value bet should you hit.

RIVER: Well, you hit (or did you?). With the amount behind, and the fact that he seems scared of the A, and the fact that your impression of him is that he is a fish, and thus is probably pretty straight forward, his check probably indicates fear o' the Ace. Judging from your description (especially his 3.5 PFR) I am thinking he is sitting on KK, which would fit all streets. Fire a $100 value bet out there and hope he cant lay down those cowboys.
