A8s: i feel like a calling station fish

CO is HUGE fish. (clicky) 85/45/3.5 85 hands

OTB is AJmargarine

UTG+1 is 20/15/3.5 tag

Easy call pf. I don't squeeze because CO WILL call always, and my hand is not good enough for that.

I'm unsure about flop. Gave myself 4-7 outs and implied odds.

Can't fold turn obv. I think he always calls a push, so i just call.

River push? <psb

Villain's range narrows w/ each street. He can't have AK, esp. since i know he doesn't have the FD. AQ? KK? JJ? He'd have river pushed a set, right? so no QQ or the smaller ones.

Help me put villain on a hand range plz, and tell me where i goofed, if at all.

i really didn't like the button call, you are oop and it's hard to get paid off even if you have the outs and the implied odds, (of which i don't think you have much of either..)

for the same reason, i don't like PF call, you are calling for trips value and flush value? i don't see how youa re gonna get paid off easily OOP, but the hand you shown may be able to justify it...

river and turn is fine IMO, but i really don't like that float OOP on the flop, i don't think that's awinning play,

i may have missed something, feel free to correct me

what do you mean by button call?

yeah, this is the street i most question..... but I'm closing action w/ 4 probably clean outs... if I hit, I only need to make slightly less than a psb ($102) to justify me call.... w/ 3 other full stacks in the pot this isn't a pipe-dream...

i was slightly unsure of pf, but the fish in the pot pushed me over the edge to call.

LOL i really mean PF call, wtf am i doing? it's 5 am, forgive me lol

the reason i don't think your flop call is good is because you are playing NL200, i dont think people are that stupid where if the board 4 straights and a guy who's been calling all of a sudden bets, i don't think even a player as bad as the fish will pay you off here.. but if your read is differrent, then it makes the flop call justified.. but i still wouldn't do it, what if someone is floating with 89??
there just too many people in the pot at this point for me to draw to the possible split..

hope this makes sense.. i'm not gonna proof read it, sorry lol

it makes sense... and this is exactly why i felt like a fish... my brain told me to fold on the flop, but my finger hit call because i was closing the action

Fold PF and fold the flop. Flushdraws are played much better and more profitable IP.

Re: A8s: i feel like a calling station fish

Just fold on the flop, with two callers already, your 8 is probably no good if you hit, there's every chance the A will be no good, and the straight is blatantly obvious when it hits.
