Default 5/10 Flopped set. Very stupid mistake.

Playing in a 5/10 game 8 people seated at 10 person table.

I am UTG with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I limp. UTG + 1 raises. Fold. Fold SB Fold. BB call. I call.

Flop is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

BB checks. I check. Villain Raises. BB FOlds. I raise. Villian calls.

Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

I bet. He raises.

AND FOR SOME REASON I CALL. I HAVE VISIONS OF STRAIGHTS DANCING IN MY HEAD! With a preflop raise? How is that possible that I am thinking this? I know. I suck.

River is K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

He bets. I CALL.

I suck...This is clearly a huge mistake correct? No way I should fear a straight or AA? Ugh...

This "fear" is probably keeping me from big profits I suppose. There was no logical explanation that he would have a straight. He had A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I would have made a lot more money.
