I was wondering if it's possible to see hands at my level from a winning poker player(s) just so I can see how other players would do in so and so situation. [/ QUOTE ] What you need is to sign up for the next Session Review. [ QUOTE ] Despite my PT telling me that my AKs and AKo are positive so far I've been correctly playing them, before I was holding them on for too long hence that's why I thought it was a bad idea to raise pre-flop. [/ QUOTE ] AKs and AKo will ALWAYS be in the green, provided the sample size is big enough. These are extremely profitable hands. Raising preflop for value should be automatic. All problems always stem from people playing them badly postflop. SHIPIT. |

36k hands up to .25/.50 full ring
4.4 bb/100 avg $355 Net Gain 31% VPIP/ 14% PFR / 2.1 AF 29k hands 6 max up to .10/.20 30% VPIP / 23% PFR /2.75 AF 2.87 bb/100 $135 Net Gain. Didn't realize I did better on the micro's at full ring but it makes sense, the games will have more calling stations and fish than in 6 max which just goes to show that it is more profitable to play when you have all these extra guys drawing out at you. |

First time I started with 50 dollars, second time $12 and last time $4.50. Don't multitable, move tables to get position on really bad players if you have to. Be patient, if you play a hand that vexes you stop playing, the tables are there 24/7.
Play a few k before you even think of looking at your stats and don't move up until you have 300 bb at the next level. If you are bankrolled for 300bb at .5/.10 and you play according to Lee Jones book you should be ok to start there. If you lose 150 bb however drop down. Low limit is very swingy so when I just started I limited loses to 20 bb a day. When I hit that number I stopped and studied instead. |

I'm going to try to limit most of my beginner/fish questions here instead of a new thread.
For those of you who use GameTime+ (or the other HUDs), what stats do you usually display? (Right now I have VPIP/% Preflop Raises/Post-flop aggression/Hands played) Any tips on choosing tables on pokerstars? I usually go for 8-10 players and any table greater than 55% players/flop, any comments on the tables regarding average pot? What's this sweating thing? (is it like someone watching me play though a few hands and go over the thinking process and what not)? If anyone have time to do that with me at the 0.02/0.04 micro limits I'd be interest and it would be really appreciated (free anytime after 5+ pm EST.) Also I had a question about that hand I just posted. I think alot of players noticed that I was playing really tight, whenever I raised pre-flop, alot of them would just fold, should I limp in, in a situation like this? any other comments on that hand? Played like 20 hands already, had about a 15% vpip during that session while playing that specific hand. Poker Stars Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $0.02/$0.04 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls, Hero raises, 4 folds, Button calls, 2 folds, UTG calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (7.5SB, 3 players) UTG checks, Hero bets, Button calls, UTG calls. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5.25BB, 3 players) UTG checks, Hero bets, Button folds, UTG calls. River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7.25BB, 2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls. Results: Final pot: 9.25BB |

At .02/.04 you should be able to sit at any table and do alright. Eventually you will find a table vpip that you are comfortable playing at.
I just show whatever the default stuff is on PAHUD and keep track of my stats, probably more than I should. If people are folding to your raises open your raising range instead of limping your good hands. I would rather lose when someone cold calls with crap and beats my weak raising hand than when someone cracks my AA because I let them in cheap. |

[/ QUOTE ] I pretty much spilled my guts out in this thread. It should go without saying but some of the specifics I wrote in it relate to limits I play...at 2c/4c the games are different so youll need to adjust your concepts of what is good/bad. eg what you might consider a bad table at 2c/4c would likely still be considered good by 0.5/1 standards. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=2#Post11426675 |
