Buy her a book on NLP. If you find something where some buisness guy talks about how you should mimic customers/clients/emplyees.

Alternately you could ask her to start noticing if her friends are mirroring her.

Okay, as a girl who does crazy things myself, I hate to say this, but that is freakin' psycho!

I learned in a communications class that we mimic the movements of people we talk to, to show we are listening. Maybe Cosmo interpreted that study to mean you do it when you like someone. Either way, if she is worth it, do the reasearch and battle the Cosmo "scientfic facts" with real scientific facts. Also, maybe try to catch her when she is doing it and tease her about it being flirting. She might see how ridiculous she is being.

What the f are you talking about? Oh wait, UCSB, that explains everything.

What part do you not get? I'll try to translate it to cretin for you.

[/ QUOTE ]
I understood the psycho part. I'd just like to know these "scientific facts" that mirroring isn't a form of flirting.

When two people mirror each other, it just shows they are on the same page. You probably do this all the time with your gf, friends, and even your mom. Deliberately mirroring people can help you build rapport. This is a big thing in NLP. Basically if your gf thinks you're flirting with random chicks just because the two of you are making similar movements, she's psycho and you should get rid of her.

Thiz sounds like the gist of this thread. Jealous girl took NLP Post on Random Internet Forum 101 and now thinks she's really in the swing of things.

This chick is dumb, yo. Dump her before she scissors off your penis in your sleep and throws it in a field, forcing you to make a Frankenpenis movie if a dog doesn't gobble it first.

Well, I'm still skeptical but unfortunately for you, there's gonna be a flood of pm's in your mail box by a bunch of lonely 2+2ers.
