All smart-a**ness aside, maybe it is a good idea to split them into full ring and 6 max.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or people could just write 6 Max in the Subject Line. If a poster unknown to me creates a thread without putting the Stakes or something interesting in the subject line, i usually dont bother to even open it.

It is not rediculous to think that the biggest ($$$ wise) forum on the largest poker message board in history should be made up of quality posts.

There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge here for non-advanced players in every other forum. I don't think there is anything wrong with the highstakes forum being aggresively moderated in an effort to make it best for the experienced members.

This isn't directed at you, just a general opinion.

This is a joke right? How many hands have played at 5/10 6m? After about 20k, I would say you have probably encountered any and every possible situation you could with 100xbb. There is nothing left to think about, there is no "advanced" play when you have 100xbb.

Or maybe poker, *gasp*, just isn't all that interesting! We aren't here to engage in complex theoretical discussions. We are here to take money from donkeys.

Why don't all of you highly advanced players just have a board where only you are allowed to post?

[/ QUOTE ]this is a really good idea! we should look into that!

The idea is simply that the medium stack forum is under-estimated, and a lot of guys who overestimate themself judge they have to post in the high stack, like many posters in this thread who are not happy with Diablo'idea.

But perhaps the problem is that dividing the forums by stakes isn't really the best way, but that dividing them into beginner/intermediate/advanced is, because the stakes one plays at doesn't necessarily indicate same.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pros and tourists have one thing in common in the casino's -they play the stakes they can afford. Most regulars play the same limit, whether it's the best game or not. And for tourists it's the same thing. If they're used to hanging with guys with money and a few grand means nothing to them, they're not playing 2-4. They're playing 20-40, even if they no idea what a chop or time pot is and have little idea of how to play the game.

So I think that, to a certain extent, the same can be said about hands posted on 2+2. It's assumed the stakes indicate the posters ability and understanding of the game. I think that's far from the case. Then again, the reality is that most think they're better than they are and few would want to be a part of the beginner forums. So limits solve that. But I think many are in the middle area and would benefit from a forum where the stakes aren't a determining factor in the play of the hand. Nothing will be changed, so I just showed how smart I am to waste this much time and space on the subject.

Can we just create a "special" forum that not everyone is capable of posting in?
