Would definitely raise this. This looks like a river donk with a weak pair that he thinks is "protected" because the board looks scary. Fold to 3 bet is fine...unless you have no clue who he is or if you know he's capable of being crazy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I really think that if you can't fold to the 3bet you should not raise this.

Against this opponent folding to a 3bet is pretty automatic I think.

FWIW, I called and opponent showed ATs.

Opponent is 40/9/0.6.

BlahBlah, Meow, Chow, King Friday....this doesn't mean anything nor can anyone interpet anything from it. How many hands? Have you played with him before? What are you notes on him? Is he playing well today? Is he tilty?

Against most opponents is looks like a desparation bet, a hand like A6, or a weak Ten and you should be raising.

I would be suspicious of the 3. I dont like when passive players bet into me. They usualy have a great hand , a good hand or a bluff. Very rarely they bet mediocre hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

Vague? What are you characterizing as great, good, mediocre?

[/ QUOTE ]
Great- a 3
Good - Top pair, 2 pair
mediocre - 2.nd pair
But thats only my guess.

Plays a little to many hands, doesn't raise much preflop and is pretty passive overall... Isn't that pretty much what can be concluded from the stats? Any notes would have been posted.

No read, no answer. Given the passive-opponent description you added, I would fold to a 3-bet as players like this never put such action in with a hand that beats you.
