Raise the turn. UTG is on a draw and pads your odds.
As played, bet the river. It's very likely that sb was on a straight draw and paired on the turn, maybe with a flush draw. If so, he'll call your river bet. |

[ QUOTE ]
check river. would get check raised by straight, 2 pair (loose game, not out of the question) or a pocket overpair. [/ QUOTE ] It's really, really uncommon for someone to donk bet the turn and then try to get in a c/r on the river when a rag rivers. I think we're safe from sb. Likewise, UTG would surely have bet the river if he had top pair or better. This is a pretty safe river bet. I would expect to: see both opponents fold about half the time; see someone call with a hand that beats me occasionally; get c/red almost never. |

[/ QUOTE ] This was the reason I did not raise, although I was thinking of raising. I cannot protect my hand in this pot, flush and str8 draws still have the right odds even if my hand is still the best (which I can't be sure of). Plus overcards that may come on the river. I'm not a math genius of course so I couldn't calculate the reversed odds that qiuckly but I fugured that it was about half of the deck. So I just called. |
