I have to call complete BS on everyone claiming they have tried or successfully outrun cops.

The penalties when you get caught are not really something you would casually joke about in an "unthinkable" thread.

I'm pretty sure you're full of [censored].

I know a guy that ran away from cops after stealing a police car. I'm not making this up.

That is insane.

It just doesnt make sense to me.

This many people running from the cops. Largely the ones in cars. On foot is more understandable.

at cub scout camp, I took a dump in front of someone's tent while they were outside....as they were crawling in, they crawled through my dump and got it all over the inside of the tent and on their sleeping bags.....it was outstanding.

Ok, don't believe me, I will tell my story.

I was at a friends house on a Friday night my Jr. year of high school. Me and another friend are spending the night over there as friends dad is only one around and he doens't give a damn about what we are doing. We run out of stuff to drink too early and decide we need to find more. We go down the street to the sophomore girls house we know and find out one of thier boyfriends has beer in the car outside. I volunteer to drive two of the girls over to a friends house so my friends can steal the beer. Two hours late I have been to several different places drinking more all along the way. I decide the girls are driving me nuts and it is time to head back. One of them has a last request; that I take her to some guys house so she can sneak him out. Being the sucker that I am, I agree.

So at two in the morning I am parked with my headlights out beside this house when a cop car rolls by very slowly. The cop car turns into the culdesac ahead and I know he is coming back. I proceed to jam it into reverse and take off down an alley. After turning onto a major street I figure I have lost him, but all of the sudden I see a car 200 yards behind me approaching at a very fast speed. I am only a couple of blocks from a house we were at earlier, so I gun it in an attempt to lose the cop (he never turns on his lights btw). I pull into this house park the car, and start running, hoping into a backyard. This is one of the nice areas of town, so I get soaking wet falling into a fake river, but keep on going. I hop into the alley and begin to flee. About two blocks later I am about to reach a T in the alley when I see headlights. I duck behind a dumpster and sure enough the car is a cop. He pulls slowly by looking around with his spotlight; at the same time he is on his radio with the windows down asking when the two cars of backup are coming. Once he passes I have one long straight alley to go before I can reach an area to hide out. I decide to make a run for it, cross a major street than due to my adrenaline, hop an 8 foot fence with thick bushes in front like it is nothing. This is the backyard of a private elementary school and I call my friends to come pick me up from this hideout. The do and I arrive back at my friends house hoping to go pick up the car in the morning, no harm, no foul. About 15 minutes later I recieve a call from my parents asking wtf I have been doing all night. I tell them the truth (always the best policy) and my mom has already gone to meet an officer where my truck is parked. My dad is worried my mom will lead the officer to me so he picks me up and takes me to his office.

In the end my mother was given three tickets for me and my truck was towed to my house. Due to the fact that they couldn't identify the driver (me) we reached a deal where they payed for the tow, and I pled no contest to one of the three tickets. I did defensive driving and it was off my record for good. This was pretty much the scariest experience of my life and I have never has they adrenaline pump quite like it ever again.
