What do you guys think about PAHUD when it comes to extremely low-level buy-ins?
75% of the players dont have a clue what theyre doing, but PAHUD makes it very fast apparant who the other 25% are. This is actually the only advantage I can account. What do you think? |

I would just learn proper bubble play, stay tight early, and assume everyone's a donkey until they show otherwise. Then move up limits in a month or so. |

[/ QUOTE ] i use it at low buy ins and again, works for me. distinguishes calling stations for crazy raisers when youre 8 tabling or whatever. it still helps some but again im sure its not NECESSARY by any means to be successful, its more of a comfort and base knowledge thing than anything else. |

[ QUOTE ] If you only have 50 hands on a player, his stats are useless. [/ QUOTE ] This is untrue. I can usually get a decent minimal read on everyone at the table in about an orbitt and have a reasonable profile by 50 hands. Is it 100% accurate? No. Is it good enough to inform many decisions? Absolutely. [/ QUOTE ] The thing is that the information you get by watching somebody play for an orbit can be quite a bit different than just the PT stats. If I see somebody pay off three streets with TPMK a few hands in, that tells me something a lot more specific than how many hands they've been playing. Over a small chunk of hands, the raw PT stats aren't likely to be too informative. |

[/ QUOTE ] i agree, which is why players should be using both. some use HUD as a crutch and dont take notes/watch the action and it hurts their game. i think successfully using the tool would be finding a medium, and this is what i try to do. |
