$3s PS: Flopped top set. Slowplay?

I'm playing for set value here. A minraise call seems fine for the two I'm most likely stacking if I hit.

I do hit. And on a very dry flop too. Based on reads, either CO or Button is betting here. I check/call, figuring I'll check-raise the turn for a little bit.

I check-raise for a near min-bet, and I'm fully expecting and wanting callers. I didn't think well about the size of the reraise here, though.

I lead, because I could see a check-down after my check-raise.

PF good. Flop "okay" since it is really dry. Turn either lead out with all-in or c/r all-in. You have about 1000 chips left and the pot already is 1350. Your check small raise in that huge pot after a bet-call was AWFUL.

I think PF &amp; the flop look ok. The idea of a check raise on the turn seems ok to me but you bet way to small.
Both players only have to call 300 more into a pot of 2250.
You're giving these guys over 7 to 1 to call with their draws. You need to charge more when the pot is this big. Make them pay to hit that runner runner.
I think check raise all-in here is the best play given the size of the pot &amp; the stack sizes.

It certainly is. As played you NEEEED to c/r push this turn. That small raise is AWFUL.

Do you guys not thinks that you can call for 200 &amp; get away from the hand if you see a flop with 2 overs or something?
You still have 12 BB's &amp; stacks are quite similar so you can put pressure on later.
I'm not being a smart ass or anything. I'm still learning myself so this could be something I'm missing from my game.

Could I have some explanation for the instapush preflop? Had my stack been a bit lower, I would definitely have pushed. Or is my stack low enough to start pushing TT here?

Oh, and please do rub in how bad that turn raise was. I need to get rid of that once and for all...

Pushing preflop is as standard as it gets. A ton of dead money and a huge increase to your stack. As played, calling the flop is okay, but pushing the turn is mandatory.

I feel that the biggest leak low stakes players has is that they call too much, and are not agressive enough. given that, i hate slowplaying, and would rather be more agressive.

i guess the pre-flop is fine, but would not be unhappy with a push.

check-raise on flop. while you are playing against donks, a raise on the turn really indicates that it helped you - thus, that you can beat top pair.

on the other hand, a check-raise on the flop, while certainly indicating strength, could indicate a much wider range of hands.

who knows what these players call with. i'd rather bet strong, early and often, and be on the safe side.
