I agree with Reef. It's hard for the fish to make mistakes when they're getting 2000:1 on every call they make.

Each round is capped at 4 bets and from what I watched of the game already it is capped frequently. The players were very aggressive. It's because of the damn FL laws against bets higher then $2. The casino came up with this to get bigger pots so they can make more rake. I'm only considering playing this odd structure because the only options are $1/$2 or Straight $2. It's hard just to keep up with the rake in those games. I figured the $2 ante with it's bigger pots might be a better game as far as beating the rake but it's set up so oddly. I was thinking to play most hands to the flop then make my decisions there. I will lay down weak draws even when I'm getting odds to draw and stick to the stronger draws. Any ideas on this strategy? Thanks

"I will lay down weak draws even when I'm getting odds to draw"

why would you do this?

Because everyone will be getting odds to draw to any hand every hand essentially. I think I'll stick to the better draws. For example I won't draw to an inside straight if the betting is already capped when it gets to me etc. Especially if better straights then mine are possible. If I just draw every hand which I will be getting odds to do I'll be just like everyone else at the table. Any thoughts on this strategy?

of course there are certain draws that you should fold (ie bottom end of 1 card gutshots and similar) i guess it just depends on your definition of "weak draw", some people consider gutshots to be weak draws....it all depends...

but seriously, i doubt that this game is beatable...especially depending on the rake...the problem is that with pots so huge its hard to make a mistake, and that is where the money comes from...even if the game was beatable for 1bb/hour (unlikely) the variance would be insane...

I think it will be difficult to beat also but I've been dying to play some higher limits than 1/2. FL laws suck
