Never have played 6/12 with the twos but i think it would make the game more fun...at Borgata it is red and white and relatively tight while the pink chip game at teh trop is super loose aggressive and the only real difference is the number of chips...so - the two's do and would make sense if you ask me

[/ QUOTE ]

I used to play 6/12 at Bay 101 with $2 chips and it was always a good game.

I played the 8/16 there a couple times (4chip/8chip), do you think it induced more action than the 6/12?

I played the 9-18 on Tuesday night...

The button raised, small blind folded, big blind defended, and the dealer promptly removed $4 for rake. I called the floor over and was told the rake was now a straight 10%, instead of what the plaque says. IMO, having the highest rake in Vegas, at these limits, is not a strong selling point.

[/ QUOTE ]

They were taking more than the placard stated? Surely not.

It's a nitly complaint, but I don't think raking more than the plaque states is allowed. At the same time, to "fix" it I think all they have to do is get a sticky label and paste over the numbers that are there. But casinos don't get to post their rake, and then take extra.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, they did.

I dont give a [censored] where your from...6/12 should be a 3/6 structure game, using $2 chips ONLY

9/18, same deal, 3/6 structure using $3 chips

if the venetian is going to go this route they should offer 15/30 and 30/60

also, it has become a rock garden, especially in the NL games, I've seen the same 15-20 faces there for the past two weeks (a lot of these faces have migrated from the Wynn, and they are ONLY there for that freeroll)...

with the combination of lackluster parking and the god awful air freshener, with the addition of rocky/non-stellar NL games, I'm gonna have to agree with Mason on this one that the venetian will soon be a doomed room...

They were doomed from the moment they opened their doors.

A celebrity freeroll for a Lotus? Made me never want to play there. And I don't see many celebrities playing there either.

Sorry, I don't know, I never played the 8/16 there. I will say it was better than the 8/16 I've played in Vegas.

The meaning of "Better game" to you may be different than other peoples rendering of better or good. Some people like loose/passive, others like tight/passive, ect..

That's how they play it at Caesars, with the $2. I thought it was weird at first but just 'cause I'd never seen it. The players fought it at first.

Charging more than the plaque says is a violation. Call the gaming board next time. They'll be down in a hurry I'm sure.

This is a good point. I do generally prefer loose passive games to lag fests. But, I'm pretty sure that the laggy Bay101 style games are more profitable overall for the majority of good players.
