Default Re: Jamie Gold...Worst Possible Winner?

LOL at OP for suggesting that someone like Sabyl Cohen would have been better for the growth of the poker industry than Jamie Gold.

I think that there couldnt have been a BETTER possible winner than Gold. He is well-spoken and by his own admission he is still learning how to play better. He didn't need suck outs to win. Chip leader from 135 left to the end, he completely dominated the last 4 days of play. He is not a full-time poker addict who spends 12 hours a day multi-tabling. He is not some well-known name that needed years of practice to hone his game. He will be the perefct foil for all these young punks who think they would have been a more deserving winner because of all their testosterone-fuelled "mad skillz". For the rest of the populace, he just continues in the mold of Moneymaker, Raymer and Hachem; a guy who entered a tournament, played his game and came out with $12,000,000.
