I think people who are down on A-Rod feel like even when he had great numbers he isn't everyone's favorite word, "clutch".
I don't have access to BP's WinEx stuff, but do you have any comments on WPA as seen
here? Considering his RBI numbers, it seems like you could only have a WPA that low by having gotten those RBI at relatively meaningless times. While Arod can't control the context of his AB's, it seems unlikely that his situations have been that different from Jeter or Giambi's.
edit: trading him would probably be insane, but there are a lot of terrible GM's in baseball, so never say never.
