I have done it. Although, I didnt say "I was wrong," specifically. I have said "You are correct. I see my error."

I do think it happens more than you think. Specially in the strategy forums.

It is very common for someone to admit to being wrong. Sometimes, during discussion, it becomes obvious that a point one made is now improved, obsolete, or incorrect. It is not always necessary for that person to come back and state the obvious to apoligize. It is many times better for the whole group if the focus is kept on the current events of the debate. Someone being wrong is often the start of greater discussion.
