Re: probably standard..

Depends on the villain. But usually at this level the donkbet means two things - 'I hit a piece of that' or 'I have a pocket pair and not all of those cards are over it'

Both of these conditions...

Re: probably standard..

[ QUOTE ]
I just tell myself that no one folds TP in uNL and just fold.

With you on this. What kills me usually is the assumption that the donkbet means 'I have top pair' The...

Re: KQo hand vs donk

Why donkbet the turn? Who is going to call your 2 pot bet here? Someone with an A or a 9 or two diamonds. No losing hand will call you here - the board is ridiculously drawy.

Re: weak with AK preflop

Limp - call the raise. either fold or c/f the flop.

Let me explain. AK UTG is a pain to play. If you miss the flop - like you did here - and you lead preflop - you have an issue.

Much...

Re: Bad way to play a set in position?

He bet a third of the pot the whole way with KK? With that board? Hmm.

Re: 50 NL AA raised on flop

Chill man. No reason to get all worked up. Just opinions.

Re: NL50 - Another call or push question

I have noticed that the villain goes station after being pushed around on the flop.

And yes, worried me a bit as well. Which is why I was happy to check behind on the river.

NL50 - Another call or push question

Villain is super aggro - 75/30/3. Standard raise by me preflop - villain calls from the SB. Lets pick it up from the flop.

It's not only that he could have a draw. You are representing a draw as well.

This is it right here. Villain has JJ.

Re: NL50 - AA preflop - action in front - whats the proper line?

I was refering to you stating that a good player will pick up on what you are doing.

So should I vary the amount of the third raise?

Edit: C4LL4W4Y answered it. Thanks.

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw

Personally I would raise the flop in this situation. Depends on the villain and the read. If I am committed to going after the draw - I raise the flop. This often times causes the villain to slow...

Re: NL50 - AA preflop - action in front - whats the proper line?

So Sweir - is this something you should actively try to change up during a session? Or is that kind of focus not normally seen at these levels?

That flop is why I posted the question. One of...

Re: NL50 - AA preflop - action in front - whats the proper line?

See thats a leak in my game.

I always think min-raising the initial bet is more likely to get him to come along. I get worried that I'll chase him away. I want one opponent - but I want his...

Alright - first post - so go easy on me. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Ugly flop

Agree with tufat. Raise here and be ready to call the shove.

Villian is probably sitting on TT or JJ - testing the waters here with this bet. If your line is correct, neither of them can be...

Re: kinda ugly spot KK 2/4

Yeah - I would have figured AQ. Even though he is a 40 - once he calls your second raise you can only put him on a few hands - AQ being the worst. All but one, has you beat, and that one is what...
