With M=2.5 you need to gamble and I think your hand is good enough to do so.

If button is a good player he should push very wide here and after posting the BB you get good odds to call here - so i would call.

borderline...any reads...i play a lot of these and A 8 is about the cutoff for calling or raising...if the button has been aggressive I gamble cause you are really short....if you can steal I may pass but probably not...I like to win them and people will push ATC in this spot from the button

Depends what the stacks on your left are like, but generally fold.

read dependent really, but if button is any good he should be pushing any2 cards if folded to with his stack.

I would call this

I agree... I'd only find a fold here if this guy's passed on multiple pushbot opportunities already and has been generally tight.

Re: $12 180 man turbo

Average stack with 18 people left is like 15000 but with the bubble already broken I'd have to wait for 8 more people to be eliminated in order to move up in money and if thats the case I want to have chips to go at it at the final table.

Being it also a turbo the blinds would be raising really soon lowering my M my question is How tight does the original raiser have to be in order to fold this hand. If I fold this hand I'd have to allin ATC pretty soon after and if any of the big stacks choose to raise before, wouldn't I have to call with a marginal hand soon anyway?

RESULTS OF - $12 180 man turbo hand in question

I snap called figuring his range would be really wide. He had 98o and my A8o held. Guy decided to spend the next 10 minutes as observer complaining about how I risked everything on A8o, citing his poker resume and how close to pro he is. So I decided to humor him and "audit" my play so I become better. I don't really see how I can fold this unless I can narrow the initial raiser to top 10 hand. Allin from Button in a $12/180 usually doesn't scream top 10 hand to me.

Please help me see the light if I'm terribly wrong in my thinking. if its a 50/50 decision I'm even cool with that, but I think this is a call more than half the time.

Which decision gives me the best chance of winning the entire thing? If I fold this, what am I saving my chips to allin with? And am I forced to call sometime in the next orbit either way if blinds change to 1000/2000?

I'd have 8900 chips or so I think if I folded.
