NL100 6m - Semi-bluff Turn vs Half-stack?

I've been on a heater recently, and in the past the thing that seemed to derail heaters was some overly aggressive play. Just a line check here, I think it's standard but want to double check. Villain was 40/30/1 and a typical pretty bad shortstack.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($115.65)
UTG ($61)
MP ($63.85)

Button ($102.35)
SB ($97.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I hate short stacks....
He isn't floating you on the flop so I figure he has a pair. He doesn't have much money left so he is probably calling. If he has something like 99 you are a 2 to 1 dog. You will be getting 3 to 1 to get your money in. So going all in is a +EV play. I think check call is a better play personally because he might check behind.

I know we want to be the aggressor so he can fold... but i just don't think he is folding.

check/call
