How many people use pokertracker?

My guess.. 50,000

Just so you have a perspective, pokerstars just signed it's 5M player. I guess Party has at least 2M more players (non-duplicate)

So if 50,000 use it, multiply by $55 and the creator got almost 3 million (assuming it's made by just 1 guy). close?

If 100,000 bought it, he made $5.5m.

What's your point?

Point is this guy kicks ass.

He's made a ton of money, but probably not that much. He's probably negotiated bulk rates with places like PSO and other affliates who advertise "Free Poker Tracker if you sign up"

You are probably pretty close, might even be a tad on the high side.

The maximum number of pokertrackers users is about 277,000. That is the my approximate product ID code from when I just download the program onto a new computer a few days ago. Note: This is assuming the product id increments by 1 each time the product is downloaded (I have not verified this). The product id does go up after each of the 3 times I have downloaded the program, in what appears to be a reasonable rate that would match the number of downloads.

So assume the program has been downloaded 277,000 times. There are going to be several multiple downloads on here for people who have new computers, multiple computers/laptops, etc...

Also, there will be many who download the program and then never end up purchasing it or do purcahse it and then quit poker.

After stating that and thinking about it, I think the number of active users is less than 50,000.

The product id is based upon your hardware, not on the amount of users.

Well that changes everything... If this is true please disregard my last post.

Ok, so 50k people have bought PT. Let's assume that the average user has made about 1000$ (reasonable assumption)with the aid of Poker Tracker. That's about 50 million dollars. So basically the creator of Poker Tracker has LOST over 47 million dollars by selling copies of it instead of playing poker with them.

Not all of that +1k is from the sole use of PT IMO.

Yeah, exactly, because the creator of poker tracker is capable of playing a million-bajillion tables at once. He can also shoot lightning bolts out of his arse.

Re: How many people use pokertracker?

Yeah, his multi-tabling abilities cost him $47 million, POTY. Like i said, he would need to multi-table a million-bajillion tables at once to achieve this.

If my saracasm detector was off on the post I replied to then so be it. But even if it was, there are a lot better POTY candidates than this. PLEASE!

You would honestly rather grind it out at 50,000 tables at once than set a website and sell your program with much less work and time involved for the same amount of money?

Re: How many people use pokertracker?

Funny thing is the BEST sites on the net are the ones that PT can not be used on.

There are many places with 45% flops up to 10/20 that people skip because they are afraid to play without PT.

I LOVE PT don't get me wrong, just saying that PT makes a poker site tight. Look at Party, Poker Stars or anyplace that makes PT easy. All tight.

People think 35% to 40% is loose, HA! I saw a 15/30 game last night at 47% (10 hand moving average).

achems theorem

If 90% of places that do NOT have PT capabilities are WAY looser then places that DO allow PT . . . . .

Although Pradise does not fit the mold. That are PT capable and HUDS work YET are loose.

Perhaps it's the amount of Bonus's that make places tight.

Based upon the assumption that PT is the holy grail and assures the user will become a winning player. The player still makes the decisions, and PT is only a tool, albeit a very good one.
