Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2 of 5.)
The first Q&A thread is becoming cumbersome, so please add your new questions, answers and comments to this second thread, if possible.
Mike O'Malley and other Party Executives will be monitoring the threads and will supply pertinent information as required. Of course, this depends on the tone of the threads. If you ask reasonable questions and give reasonable criticisms, they will enter the threads more often. If there is name-calling and abuse, they'll stay out of them. It's up to you. Jim and I will be quite aggressive with editing and deleting posts to try to keep the threads as useful as possible for all of us. Thank you for your support in this aim. It is much appreciated. Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
Will NL players be rewarded more appropriately with Party Poker points? I currently pay greater than $10K/month in rake playing mid/high level NL full ring cash games; yet it is nearly impossible for me to ever attain the Gold level status; whereas a limit player paying the same amount of rake as me could easily attain Gold level.

Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
There has been many threads recently about people getting hacked and losing money. There seems to be a trojan.backdoor that gets placed during the party client install process.
Can anyone from Party comment on this? I can supply the thread links if you would like to read them. Thank you in advance for replies on this serious issue. Posted in first thread but, fear overlooked, too serious an issue to ignore. |

It would be awesome if Mike or some other Party rep could post the contents and prices of the new store for those of us that can't access it yet.

This is the response I received yesterday when I explained that my MAS was detecting the trojan.

Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
I am going to keep my comments to the new release for now. Questions regarding the points for NL game can be directed to . I can assure you that they are taking everything into consideration. Concerns about the download can be directed to . Any possible concern regarding the safety of the download is taken seriously.
The hot topic debate is going to be about the new Sit&Go structure (time vs. hands). There was a lot of thought put into this and a lot of feedback gathered from players. Some players are going to love it and some will hate it. The overwhelming majority of players wanted the changed. The regular Sit&Gos will not take much longer than the old ones, and we will have Speed Sit&Gos that take 1/2 the time. This seems to be one of those things that players will get used to and forget we ever did it the other way. More to follow... |

Dear PartyPoker Rep:
Please comment on the issue of HHF files / aka the temp hand history files that used to get written to our hard drive that allowed us to collect stats on OBSERVED GAMES. We all noticed that they were no longer written to our computers in the Beta. Was this a conscious decision by Party? They don't want us to be able to datamine observed hands anymore?? |
Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
It looks like Party Points are finally going to be worth something!

I imagine if there's no longer any way to do that, you're going to see a great deal of table hoping. edit: deleted my reply to keep the thread smaller. |

Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
Will there be a lobby for SNGs with clear info on the payouts?
Will the MTT lobby display the current ranking of all the players? Also, I think that concealing the rake with the combo buyin+entryfee does not seem to be customer-friendly. Buzz |

[/ QUOTE ] Sure it is. Find a buddy sit to his left. I guess this might not be enough if you're playing full ring, but any table where you're sitting next to a 60/5'er in 6-max can't be that bad. |

This had been discussed and the feedback we got was that players didnt want to take two steps to get into a Sit&Go. 2) The Multi-Table Tournament lobby is being redesign for a future release. It's cool. 3) Putting the amounts together was not about hiding the fee. The fee is clearly displayed on the buy-in screen and in the lobby (Multis). This was simply a move to make the lists cleaner and easier to promote. The fee amounts have not changed. |
Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
Someone in the other thread suggested making it easier to switch seats. Any chance of this happening?

You tell it what you want to play and it auto seats you into the next available. Or you can still open a table and pick your seat. |

After this one, I'll stop clogging up the thread. Does Party have plans to spread additonal games on the horizon? (e.g. razz, or 2-7)

Currently you have to leave the table and re-open it to change your seat, a "seat change" button like in a real casino would be great. |
Re: Major Party Upgrade - Official Q&A thread. (#2.)
Dear Party Poker,
On the other thread someone posted that Poker & the Casino will be combining. Will this be true for PartyBingo also? I haven't joined Bingo yet, but have been thinking about it. (ok guys you can stop laughing at me now, I'm an old lady who enjoys bingo sometimes!) S&SGW |

Everyone here is having trouble getting bounced out of the My Account section of the website. You may or may not be aware: this was a HUGE problem with the old Party affiliate website, before they fixed it...hopefully this is just a temporary thing. |
