does he often play big pots with one pair? does he c/r draws often? is he extremely frustrated with you/your aggression? shove if you answer yes to one of those ... but usually fold...

If your read means there is a good chance he does not have what most 16/10s do in this spot then AI is the correct play. If you are not confident in this read this is a fold.

I fold here unless you are uber-confident that he's making a play on your cbet. You beat nothing but air and JJ. My first inclination here was to muck and move on.

Thanks for input everyone. I went AI, he called w/ a flopped a set of 4's.

Christmas miracle spiked me a Q on the turn, but that doesn't mean I was happy with my play.

Is there any value in calling and re-evaluating on turn?

No need to evaluate turn.. He shoves any turncard... Now what?

He is not shoving any turncard, thats for sure. Calling and reevaluating is waaay better than pushing the flop.

ok, so then when you advocate pushing the flop instead of calling, I guess that's a bluff?

I dont think so because there are so many cards you dont want to see on the turn. You have to make your decision now. Villain is giving you enough information on the flop, your not going to learn much more on the turn. Whether he checks or bets, you are still in a tricky situation.

If this was true the obvious play would be call and always call turn no matter what comes because he would never fold a worse hand which he easliy could do if you push flop
