Party VIP Question
So I've recently ramped up the number of hours/hands I'm playing on Party and I figured it would be a waste to not try to get in on some of the offers that I'm always reading about.
I sent Party an email to ask what I needed to shoot for to receive even the most minimal of offers. I got a response back saying that before I'd be considered, I needed to accumulate 7000 points. Does this seem excessive to anyone else? I play just about an even split of $5/$10 stud, and small stakes ($.10/25, $.25/.50 NL) hold'em. So again, doesn't this seem a little high? If I accumulated 3500 points from the stud play, that's over $1500 in rake (just mine) right there. I always thought that $1000 in MGR was the "magic key" to get the VIP stuff. Any advice/ideas? |
Re: Party VIP Question
Party gives so many different numbers when it comes to getting into the VIP program.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
Me they told me 3500 points. I play 0,5-1 NL
|
Re: Party VIP Question
Seems they changed it to $1500. I was told the same figure.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
they told me 6000 a month, $25nl
|
Re: Party VIP Question
FWIW, I became VIP with 4500 PP accrued the previous month through NL100 6-max.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
They told me 3500 regular points. I've got about 2200 so far, mostly from 2/4 SH ($1500 in rake).
|
Re: Party VIP Question
I dont think that this amount is excessive. Why does everyone feel they are entitled to being a VIP member. Maybe you are important as a customer to party, but arent quite very important?
|
Re: Party VIP Question
Do you have to keep hitting that number every month? Or how often is your VIP membership up for review?
|
Re: Party VIP Question
I have 5000 points for the month, just switching back to PP mid month. I haven't played here regularly in a couple years. 1000 of those points was from a deposit and I will prob get another 1K points by months end. I sent an inquiry about getting VIP status and might bail them if I don't get in.

Re: Party VIP Question
I lost my VIP membership at PP. I think it was two consecutive months without hitting the target before you are kicked out.

About 2 months after that I stopped receiving VIP offers. |
Re: Party VIP Question
During the first A8 bonus I only hit my target for 2 weeks. Since then I have not completed one target, and am still a VIP.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
I went from playing limit to playing sngs so it was a lot harder to reach my targets. The accelerator offer would have been good if I was gold at that time, but I was bronze. I only played the 11s and 22s then. Now Im gold and playing the 33s but the last few offers have been so bad I dont even want to try to come close.

Re: Party VIP Question
They will upgrade you whenever they feel like it - I think that it was easier when it first started up.

I emailed the regular email off the PP client and they wrote back: Thank you for contacting us. Some players are invited to join the VIP club by our specialized team that takes care of the VIP club and its various promotions. It is based on certain criteria that we are not aware of. Pretty friggin helpful, huh? I want to get boni or VIP promo's or whatever if I am going to rack up lots of rake 6 tabling. How should I proceed? |
Re: Party VIP Question
is there a current VIP promo
i been away for a while |
Re: Party VIP Question
No, if there was it would be spammed across this bonus forum with people posting what offer they got / complaining about the numbers.

I switched back to party recently and am 6 tabling NL. I want to manipulate my status with them in the most favorable way I can (i.e. I dont' want to play a boatlod of hands/points, far above the minimum to become a VIP and then have them set the bar even higher to get some $$). Who do I contact to enquire about how to get VIP status? I emailed the regular link off their client and got no help. Suggestions for VIP status and getting a good deal (as in not going gold first and then having them setting a huge # on me)? |

[/ QUOTE ] You can email AFAIK nobody really has a clue as to what their formula is for setting the vip goals for individual players. This is assuming that there is a formula. The numbers seem to be all over the place. I've seen people mention that you need 1k+ in monthly MGR and I've seen others mention that you need more. Others have said that all they did was send an email asking to become a vip. Who knows. It's Party. |
Re: Party VIP Question
I simply emailed them with the direct question, "I would like to become a VIP. What do I need to do to accomplish that?" They sent a reply with a total number of regular party points I needed to receive in a calendar month. done and done.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
I've emailed vip@party at least 5 times asking to become a vip, or what do i need to do, or reply so i know you exist. Never once received a reply. Averaged just a bit over $1k MGR since Feb, and this month I'll clear $2k. Guess I'll try one more time, but you'd figure the least they could do is reply saying "we got your email but aren't making you VIP yet" or whatever.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
That situation sounds like mine. They finally responded to my 12th email on the day my status went from blue to silver member.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
they've never answered an email from me so I took that as a slap in the face and moved to another site.
|
Re: Party VIP Question
They answered the first email I ever sent them and we went back and forth for awhile with me saying 'is this enough' and them saying 'play more hands.'
Finally after about a 5-6 emails back and forth they said I would need to get 3000 regular party points per month. I was playing .5/1 limit at the time and I did it, ended up being just over 35,000 hands. When I sent them an email asking them to review my account again as I had made the quoted mark they responded with a 'nice job, keep it up and you may get VIP.' I know play 1/2 and am on track to put in 40k hand this month, so I'll let you know what they say when I email them again at the end of the month. Also, I'm a blue member but will have silver at the end of next month, so we'll see if that matters too I guess. |

I guess I'll mail them that the 6008 number makes no sense. I wonder what excuse they will find. |
Re: Party VIP Question
ROFL! So after posting I decided to contact them again, to see if I had qualified or what I would need to get since I moved up to 1/2. I get a reply no more than an hour later saying:
Thank you for contacting us. Congratulations! Your application to join the VIP Club has been successful. Re: Party VIP Question
I was told in around 3,400 regular points in a month would get in me in. A 1 for 18 streak in $22 SNG's got me frustrated and a few days behind I quit.
Kinda my way of getting back at the bad beats |
Re: Party VIP Question
Here's the email I sent them:

Sincerely, xxx (i just realized i said that i started there regularly a couple months ago and meant to say a couple weeks ago, but whatever..it seems like a canned reply anyway) Here's my response: (I just started with party again and have ageraged about 300 regular points a day for the past ~10 days) Dear XXX, Thank you for contacting us. Further to your email, the PartyPoker.com VIP Club has been created to reward players who generate a high number of Player Club Regular Points every month playing at our tables. [ QUOTE ]
Party gives so many different numbers when it comes to getting into the VIP program. [/ QUOTE ] I think they will give different point values to reach VIP because it's dependent on the level you play at and if you are blue silver or gold. I'm guessing they have a dollar value in mind for the MGR needed and convert that to points given the conditions above. But then I'm guessing much like Party does. |
