$5 homegame even though it kills any chance I'll actually play online tonight.

There's this one kid who really fancies himself as a great player. You know the type. He also for some reason loves to announce his hand. Everytime though, he ends up taking a crapload of money off some moron at the table because they don't believe that he actually just flopped the nut straight.

Anyways. Cards are dealt out. 5-handed, I limp CO with 54s. Awesome player looks at his cards, tosses in .10 and says, "I'd tell you guys what I have, but I have to keep my queers to myself."

For some reason, 88 has become known as queers due to some really lame inside joke. So, I immediately put him on 88 because he's too cocky to actually lie to us. Anyways, he limps, Button puts .20 on top, I call, Awesome Player (AP) puts another .50 on top. I am about turbomuck but after button calls, I decide to call because we both have about $8 behind and, hell, I know exactly what he has.

Flop: 876

Well then. I check, AP tosses out .40 or so, button raises all in for like 1.20 total, and I just call, knowing AP will push hard. He does, raising it to 2.50. I think for a bit and push it in. He calls in a flash. 88. His chips = my chips.

He spent the rest of the night saying how unlucky it was for him to run into my straight when he flopped top set. I couldn't do anything but shake my head and offer my sympathy.
