Play w/o rakeback

As you all know if you opened an account at full tilt at the start, you most likely didnt sign up for rakeback. My question is do people still play there w/o rakeback? I mean if im not gonna get rakeback I might as well play at pokerstars right?
Is it a huge disadvantage? I have been emailing support constantly but they wont frekain budge. How can I get rakeback?
