Stars Cancels Double Shootout

Stars had a $160 double shootout scheduled for 7PM EST. Shortly before, their servers went down or whatever, and play could only resume as of 6:55. At 6:59, there were fewer than 50 people registered, and they cancelled the tournament.

What does it mean to say that one package is "guaranteed" if they cancel the tournament when they don't make the guarantee? Other tournaments started successfully at 7PM.

yea, they're like a controlled overlay guarantee. It doesnt have to fill up, it's gotta have 74

OK, fair enough. The one that I won had only 72 runners, so I'm glad they didn't cancel it (and I guess I shouldn't complain).

The most annoying thing is that they don't open registration until 20 minutes before it starts. When are they going to start having DSO SNG's?
