Default Hmmm...

Well I'm back from my Christmas break and it's time to start playing again. Those couple weeks seem to hurt though, cuz I really suck now.

Villain is 42/9 and generally pretty bad and somewhat weak postflop. I don't have much more to go on other than that.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG checks, MP bets, Hero raises, UTG folds, MP calls.

Turn: (5.70 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP calls.

River: (7.70 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero...

IMO, the CC was terrible, but if anyone wants to defend it go ahead.

FWIW, he had a significant pause before checking the river.

I 3 bet pf. Having cc , I would toss the flop. If he doesn't have you beat already, he likely has 2 overcards and a gutshot, and you're not last to act.

3-bet preflop. fold the flop given that you didn't. bet the river and fold to a c/r given that you didn't do that.

Yeah, I'd 3-bet preflop. I didn't like the flop raise either at first, but the more I look at it the more I think it's probably correct (better than calling, and folding seems weak).

On the river I'd go ahead and bet, then fold to a check-raise. Your description of the guy ("weak postflop") indicates that he's not that bluffy, so he'll probably show you the K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] if you call.

This doesn't make sense at all. That's a pretty sucky flop for your hand if you're going to CC pf here, which I wouldn't, you need to fold that flop.
