Default SSNL digest 1/1/07-1/15/07

probably need a digest of the digest
Really good stuff and I've narrowed it down to the 2-3 posts per day that really had discussion and situations.
From a cursory review, I think we need to get more comfortable with overpairs and TPTK situations as a whole.

As a result, the focus of this digest will be overpair and top pair hands.

<font color="blue">OVERPAIRS AND TPGK HAND EXAMPLES </font>

NL100 | Standard Overpair (Quiz!)
Grunch must've anticipated the big theme. His quiz on the first went somewhat unnoticed, but is an appropriate beginning of our journey.

<font color="purple">AA </font> Starting with el numero uno

AA 230bb+ deep by ejay
How do you play AA so deep? Do you call a 200+BB poosh on a rag flop?

AA 3b pot, paired flop-1/3 AJMargarine
AA faces KK8 flop and aggression. What's your move?

AA hand vs regular Snowbank

Raised with KK on a rag flop by TAG friend_

Awkward KK deep 2Paul2
We're willing to felt with KK 100BBs deep. What do we do here facing a raise and 3-bet with about 200BB effective stacks?

Playing KK like a vag again 2Paul2
Does 2Paul2 know KK is a monster?

200NL | KK... I wanna fold... Jigsaws
KK overpair facing a 4-bet preflop. What do you do?

<font color="purple">QQ </font>

Really wierd QQ hand vs LAG 1/2 aislephive

QQ OOP RR pot deep kitaristi0
Is c/c, c/c, c/c a good line sometimes?

Only Ivey can call this... urbanati
QQ faces a huge overbet on the river after playing a check-call line. Did the Hero play himself out of a pot?

<font color="purple">JJ </font>

NL200 - Oh wait...Is that a stack-a-donk? PBJaxx
JJ overpair here...who is the donk?

JJ I hate you DEEPly Casper05
The hand that noobs hate. Wait a minute, veterans don't like it much either.

True, I could use some help here. Bdaws
Only asks for one person, but all of SSNL it seems want to chime in on this JJ overpair hand.

<font color="purple">TT </font>

Deep, 3bet pot, help!!!! Dan Bitel
TT verse a TAG, TAG, TAG on an interesting flop

<font color="purple">AK </font>

flame away boys nation
Nation cannot call with AK top two when donked into on the river. Is it just a case of fullring nitness?

TPTK fold in rr pot 150bb novles
AK 3-bets in position. Then, calls flop donk, calls turn donk, folds to river donk. Why?

OMG avoid Variance or am i too pussy dchz

My Favorite SSNL Topic jk3a
AK TPTK faces flop c/r

4 Streets of Value? jk3a
AK hits TPTK. Turn pairs board. How aggressive do you get?

AK on KK35 Board, Fold Right?? jk3a
jk3a really loves these AK situations. So does most of the board judging from the discussions!

AK vs. TAG Orange
AK really hits an ugly turn. Is it ok to c/f?

<font color="purple">AQ </font>

Pot control in a reraised pot?? Pokey
Did Pokey play AQ this weakly? Was he right?

Deep set against a 2+2er Pixels of Death
Is this another not-so-fresh set? Is it worth going to the felt by calling?

<font color="blue">POSITION, POSITION, POSITION </font>

So, you've played junk from position and it hit. Is it good? How do you make the most of it? Your work isn't done!

Is C-betting OOP spew? FoldEqu1ty
Do we bet, bet, bet? What to do out of position

1/2 200NL FletchJr.
Facing a 3-better when the flop hits with a good draw.

I fear your underestimating the sneakyness sir 2Paul2
The man plays KK weakly, but it's a very interesting semi-bluff raise on the turn here.

<font color="blue">STEALS &amp; RESTEALS </font>

Marginal hand against agressive opponent (400nl) Snakekilla88
Reraising w/ 77 preflop??

Pooh-Bah Post: Remember Why jk3a
I missed it too, but it's damn good!! Sticky please (along with tannenj's poohbah)

just talkin some theory: marginal spots (long but with cliff notes) BalugaWhale
BalugaWhale reminds most of us that we aren't good enough to be a LAG. Given the previous threads on overpairs, TPTK, folding sets, c-betting OOP, and resteals, he makes alot of sense. Don't worry, though, there is plenty of money for TAGs!
