Default firing a second barrel...good play or just spewing chips

had some history with the SB...we got in all in preflop early with both having AK for a split...next hand I raised UTG with 1010 and he called with 68 suited...he hit is 6 for middle pair, called my reraise all in and spiked anoth 6 on the turn...I've been aggressive but when I have to show I've put out legit strong hands. Does anyone like this? I think to make the play effective I needed to make a stronger flop bet but any help is appreciated

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed)

Hero ($8.40)
UTG ($11.15)
MP ($10.70)
Button ($10.50)
SB ($11)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5S 5H
UTG raises to $0.4
2 folds
SB calls $0.35
Hero calls $0.30

Flop$1.20) TS 6C QC (3 players)
SB checks
Hero bets $0.5
UTG calls $0.50
SB calls $0.50

Turn: ($2.70) 7S (3 players)
SB checks
Hero bets $2.5
UTG folds,
SB raises to $5
Hero folds

Final Pot: $10.20

I agree that your flop cbet needs to be larger, in the 3/4th pot to full pot range.

On the turn, second barreling here at 10NL is utter spew IMO, particular vs. an opponent who has shown that he will go far with marginal hands such as second pair.

I'm almost never betting this flop against 2 opponents, especially when I don't have position. If you do bet, make it $1. Once villain calls the flop bet, c/f the turn. At least one draw (89) got there, and the 7 brings you no extra FE.

If you're going to lead flop (which I like btw), I'd lead for a pot-sized bet. If called, c/f turn unimproved.

As played, I think firing the 2nd barrel on the turn is spew after getting 2 callers on the flop.

I think this hand was pretty poorly played, sorry. If you are planning to bet virtually any flop then you need to reenforce this with a preflop re-raise. If you aren't reraising preflop, you're playing set value. As played, your flop bet was terrible. It wasn't even half pot. Who do you think is going to be scared by getting 3.2:1? You're lucky you didn't get pushed off the hand & in to a ditch.

sorry but c/f flop. the way to stack him is just like you did in your TT hand. keep showing down the goods.

Your flop bet is sized to say, "OK, I just hit a little bit of that, but it isn't really strong."

And the response you will invariably get is, "GOSH, that flop just jumped up and smacked me on the ass! I feel frisky! Come out and play!"

And you'll be like, "No, that's OK, actually I feel kind of sick."
