Thoughts on the hand: Post flop Im thinking villain caught a 3, because I thought with a 7 he would wait for my c-bet. So I put him on A3/34s/32s and kept him there while I looked for the showdown. Im still not sure what to think of my river call since disallowing the possibiliy of a 7 left me to believe the turn and river could not have helped villain.

I like it. Sometimes you're shown a slightly higher pp, sometimes lower but the betting is pretty cheap. Hope he didn't have 66.

I guess I'm wondering too if anyone thinks a raise is in order here and where.

I raise the flop and thats the last money Im putting in the middle probably.
edit: when I read the title I saw passive and was thinking the villain is passive. I dont mind how it played out I would expect to see a small PP a lot. |

I don't mind the way you played it. I usually go with a raise on the flop though, just to clear the air.

When someone bets out like this, I usually have them on either a weak made hand or a weak draw. In either case, I like raising this flop.

Just wondering why people advocate a flop raise here. That is one dry flop. Isn't this WA/WB? Why fold weaker hands? I'm mainly a limit player and now play NL25. If hero raises and villain just calls, what is the plan if the cards fall as they did?

[/ QUOTE ] well considering the only draw is a gutshot, and any worse made hand prob folds to a raise, I think the best line is to let him keep bluffing/vb worse hand |

bonsey: I advocate a raise so that the opponent is making a mistake when he decides to continue in the hand.
dbitel: how often do you think a typical nl25er keeps semibluffing a gutshot on the turn? I dont think its very often. |
