Re: NL25: Flop top two pair out of the bb...facing a turn raise
Why does noone ever have reads?
If an opponent is straightforward, I think he just improved or he was ahead on the flop. Its likely going to cost you another $8 at least to see a showdown. You should make your decision on the turn. Frankly I think you're behind and drawing slim. |

Re: NL25: Flop top two pair out of the bb...facing a turn raise
On the contrary, I think $25 players are generally pretty readable. If they had TPTK they would raise the flop or checkcall all the way down. When they call the flop and raise on the turn, they're usually strong. Most for the person to have improved (or always been stronger) it would beat OPs holding.
The only hand a villain might do this that typically OP is ahead of are the donks who slowplay overpairs and then go nutty postflop. I certainly admit there are many horrendous players... but most are horrible because they call with improper odds or when their hand is too weak. But I don't think most are raising here with 1 pair hands. |
