So, I cashed for $3.4k in a WSOP event, and they are trying to tell me that I didn't cash.
I played and cashed in the 2nd Event around 190th, for $3.4k. The dealer gives me my seat card and points me towards the people to give it to. I wait in a 6 person line. During that wait, a Cardplayer guy comes by each of us and asks for our name. I give him mine and watch him write it down. Then I get to the guy at the table, give him my seat card and ID, and he gives me a yellow ticket. I'm pointed in the direction of a massive line. I start waiting, when the tourney director comes out and tells us to come back tomorrow if we want, since the line's gonna be a couple hours. I leave. I come back 2 days later, and go to the tournament payout people. I hand them my card. They pull out the book of names that cashed. Look through it, and say "you aren't in here." I'm like, "Huh?" and I look through. My name isn't in there at all. They then point out that my yellow card isn't signed. They said that whoever escorted me to the payout table should've signed it, and nobody esorted me there. So, the guy there, an older guy named Micheal, tells me to come back tomorrow and talk to Diane. He said they would do an investigation and let me know what they find. Peter (Apathy) is with me and tells me that I shouldn't let Micheal keep the card because it's my only proof of cashing, but the guy doesn't wanna give it back and tells me that he will be there tomorrow from 8 AM with the card, and that Diane would be there too. I go back the next day at 11:30 AM, and no one is at the booth. I check back at 1, no one is there. I'm not playing today, so I called the tourney payout booth, and got no answer. Then I check Card Player and my name is not listed there, when I'm SURE that they took my name down. So, now I have absolutely no proof of cashing except for my word, and maybe the security cameras at the Rio. Also, when I busted, I was at a table with Jason Strasser and Bill Gazes (and other people who I don't know) so maybe they could vouch for me. But even then, it's the word of a few people against a casino. (If anyone else was there, I'm a short guy, dark hair, a brown hat, listening to an Ipod, sitting directly to Strasser's right, and busted by overpushing with JJ v TT, who hit a T on flop) I don't care THAT much about the $3400, but I want it, and I'm really pissed off about this. Either they are really badly organized or someone purposely tried to steal my $3400, and both of those situations are not acceptable. What's my play? |

that's pretty crazy..
I have no clue of what you should do.. I don't really understand how there can be such a big mix up if they record all of this..wouldn't there at least be an empty slot for a person who went out in the position you went out in? |

Damn.
If they keep jerking you around, call the Nevada Gaming Commision. http://gaming.nv.gov/ They should force them to look through their records for that tourney to see who they paid what. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I think (not 100% sure) that they gave out slips that said 191st to a bunch of people, like 191st through 160th, or whatever it was, like everyone who cashed for #3.4k. The list I looked at had names in every slot, including a name in 191, the ticket I got. If they gave out individual tickets to each of us, like 191, 190, 189, etc., then there's a guy in my spot. So maybe I need to find him? |

Nothing good and potentially something really really bad could happen if you go all 007 here. Your job is to get your cash, period, and your official recognition as ITM at the WSOP if you can swing it. See my other post for my recommendations. |
