Any new info about starting days?

There was a big thread a month or two back about picking starting days:

Nothing was really figured out for sure.

Some people thought that day 1D would be the easiest, because of online qualifiers not wanting to take a lot of time off work. That doesn't make sense to me though as that day is a Monday. Wouldn't most amateurs want Saturday or Sunday?

Do you think the skill level difference will be enough to sweat this decision, or should I just choose based on convenience?
