Does protein powder expire?

I have an old jug that has had the lid on it for like 2 years or so. It has been opened but it's still about half full.
Is it still good?

They do expire, but if you're strapped for cash I probably wouldn't worry too much about it.

my 2007 bottle expires in 2009 so id actually be careful.

it is a food product with an expiration date, should be on the tub.

I'd be more concerned with quality. And the quality is going to diminish moreso with the amount of oxygen encountered than time. If it's 2+ years old AND OPENED IN A JAR (as opposed to a bag) I wouldn't count on full quality. If I'm looking for 25 grams of protein and the label says 25 grams per scoop, I'd use 1 1/2 scoops.

I wouldn't be worried too much about it going bad, unless you stored it in the trunk of your car, etc.
